What you’ll be doing
We are seeking an experienced Aurion Consultant to support the configuration, enhancement, maintenance, and integration of the Aurion payroll platform. The successful candidate will work closely with HR, Payroll, IT and business stakeholders to deliver system improvements, data management activities, and seamless integrations across enterprise applications.
This role requires strong functional and technical expertise in Aurion, including system configuration, data migration, reporting, interface development, and troubleshooting.

 

Aurion Configuration & System Administration
•    Configure and maintain Aurion modules including Core HR, Payroll, Position Management, Recruitment, Employee Self-Service (ESS), Manager Self-Service (MSS), and Leave Management.
•    Analyse business requirements and translate them into Aurion system configurations.
•    Design, configure, and test workflows, business rules, forms, and system parameters.
•    Implement system enhancements
•    Identify and recommend improvements to optimise HR and payroll processes.

 

Data Management
•    Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and loading activities.
•    Support data migration projects and system implementations.
•    Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and compliance across Aurion environments.
•    Develop and execute data reconciliation and quality assurance processes.
•    Produce reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc data analysis using Aurion reporting tools and SQL queries.

 

Integration Development & Support
•    Design, build, test, and support integrations between Aurion and external systems.
•    Work with APIs, web services, ETL tools, middleware platforms, and file-based interfaces.
•    Manage inbound and outbound interfaces including finance, rostering, recruitment, identity management, learning, and reporting systems.
•    Monitor integration performance and resolve interface issues.
•    Prepare technical specifications and integration documentation.

 

Stakeholder Engagement
•    Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to gather requirements.
•    Provide system advice, troubleshooting, and user support.
•    Facilitate workshops and system training sessions.
•    Manage relationships with Aurion vendors and implementation partners.

 

Testing & Governance
•    Develop test plans, test scripts, and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
•    Support release management and deployment activities.
•    Ensure compliance with organisational policies, payroll legislation, and data security standards.
•    Maintain system documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.

 

Working Conditions:
•    Employment Type – Permanent full time
•    Office Location – Sydney, Melbourne (preferred) and / or Brisbane
•    Travel Opportunities – Occasional business travel. 


What will make you successful in this role?
•    Strong hands-on experience with Aurion Payroll systems.
•    Experience configuring Aurion modules and workflows.
•    Experience with data migration, data transformation, and reconciliation.
•    High understanding of integration and middleware platforms.
•    Experience with reporting and analytics tools.
•    5+ years of Aurion consulting, administration, or implementation experience.
•    Experience delivering HRIS transformation or system enhancement projects.
•    Experience working in government, education, healthcare, or large enterprise environments is desirable.
•    Strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes.
•    Knowledge of employee lifecycle management including recruitment, onboarding, workforce management, and payroll.
•    Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements is highly desirable
