What you’ll be doing

 

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and lifecycle management of our innovative software product based on the Microsoft Dynamics framework. This role is critical in driving the product from inception through to licensing, ensuring its success in the market.
 

This role will suit a high energy person, that has the mentality of a start-up entrepreneur with the backing of a large company.  This role will be high intensity and a blend of technology, sales and the desire to create a better education environment.  Due to the start-up nature of this role, it is not suitable for candidates looking for flexibility, or work life balance at least in the first 2-3 years.   If you want to start a business within a business this could be the perfect role for you.

 

Scholarion™ is built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and is a dedicated platform for managing schools. It uses the best features of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to deliver seamless digital experiences, all in the one system, and accessible on any device.

 

The platform supports a variety of workflow processes and approvals, including:

  • co-curricular management
  • student activities and tracking
  • enrolments and academic reports
  • student awards & wellbeing
  • communications
  • resource and incident management
  • finance and operations

 

It integrates seamlessly with systems like Azure and the Power Platform, as well as with other applications via APIs and message queues. The full suite of the solution contains 12 modules, and it can be tailored depending on which modules your school needs, both today and in the future.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to launch and beyond
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap, aligning with business goals and market needs
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, sales, and marketing
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements, creating detailed product specifications
  • Manage the product backlog and work closely with development teams in an Agile environment
  • Define and track key performance metrics for the product
  • Oversee the product licensing process and strategy
  • Act as the voice of the customer, incorporating user feedback into product iterations
  • Stay up to date with Microsoft Dynamics updates 
  • Keep abreast of emerging trends and competitors in the market, and based on market insights, suggest innovative features or pivot strategies
  • Ensure the product complies with all relevant laws, regulations and reporting requirements
  • Create materials and training to help the sales team understand and sell the product effectively 
  • Present the product at conferences, webinars, industry events, as well as during client and prospective client meetings

What will make you successful in this role? 


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, preferably with SaaS or enterprise software products
  • Proven track record of taking a product from conception to market successfully
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics framework and its ecosystem
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CRM or ERP systems
  • Familiarity with licensing models for enterprise software
  • Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools
  • Certification in product management or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Background or experience in education systems

 
Desired Background

  • Experience working in or with education systems is highly desirable
  • Understanding of the unique needs and challenges of educational institutions
  • Familiarity with software applications used in educational settings
