What you’ll be doing
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud technologies and data engineering platforms, with a proven track record in delivering end-to-end data solutions. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of data architectures, while managing cross-functional teams and driving project delivery in a consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Architecture & Strategy:
o Design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures across cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.
o Lead the development of best practices, standards, and governance for data management.
2. Solution Delivery:
o Manage and deliver data solutions using platforms such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
o Develop data pipelines and workflows to ingest, transform, and deliver high-quality data to stakeholders.
o Drive optimisation and automation in data processing and reporting.
o Act as the primary point of contact for project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
3. Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement:
o Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and provide tailored data solutions.
o Conduct workshops, present technical findings, and provide thought leadership on emerging trends in data and cloud technologies.
What will make you successful in this role?
Required Skills & Experience:
• Data Platforms & Tools: Proficient in Databricks, Azure Data Factory for data modeling, transformation, and orchestration.
• Programming Languages: Expertise in Python for data manipulation, ETL pipelines, and scripting.
• Data Visualization: Proven experience in creating impactful dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Architecture & Leadership: Strong background in architecting data solutions and leading delivery teams across diverse projects.
• Consulting Experience: Excellent interpersonal skills with a history of engaging clients, managing expectations, and delivering value-driven solutions.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring seamless communication and successful delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in Databricks (e.g., Data Engineer) or Azure (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate).
• Experience with CI/CD processes and DevOps for data pipelines.
• Familiarity with other BI tools or platforms (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).
