Company: Atturra

What you’ll be doing

Our Business Applications – Core Apps team is expanding, and we are keen to talk to you if you're looking for a new challenge.

Why we need you
Councils are under more regulatory, governance and compliance pressure than ever. We’re looking for a sharp Compliance Consultant who knows what “compliance” means in a council / ERP world — not just in theory, but in everyday permit-checks, permit-issuance, infringements, documentation, workflows, records, audits, and ever-changing regulation.
If you can spot a compliance risk before it becomes a rat problem, and you like turning chaos into clean, repeatable processes — you’re exactly who we want on our team.

•    Lead and deliver implementations, configurations and upgrades for council compliance modules (in ERP / governance / regulatory systems). Think permits, approvals, infringements, licences, compliance workflows, records & documentation.
•    Design and build workflows, business-process automation (BPA), document templates, document-views (DocViews/DocOne style) — structured, audit-ready, scalable.
•    Work with stakeholders (council officers, regulatory teams, project managers) to map real-world processes → system workflows, highlight risk points, define controls, embed compliance gates.
•    Manage data-migrations, user-acceptance testing (UAT), reporting and compliance data integrity to ensure accurate record-keeping & audit trails.
•    Provide client-facing consulting: workshops, configuration sessions, training, support, and ongoing advisory on compliance best practice — including change-management and upskilling council staff.
•    Review, audit and document compliance processes — incorporate improvements and help councils stay ahead of regulatory changes and compliance obligations.

Working Conditions:
•    Employment Type – Permanent full time
•    Office Location – Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand

What will make you successful in this role?

•    Solid experience (or exposure) in local government compliance or regulatory environments — whether as a council staffer, compliance / permits officer, system admin, or similar.
•    TechnologyOne CiA experience is a must have.
•    Good understanding of compliance lifecycle: permits / licences / infringements / approvals / records / audit trails / governance— whatever form compliance takes in councils.
•    Strong business-process analysis (BPA) skills. You can dive into a messy set of paper forms or “as-is” processes and map a clean, compliant, auditable workflow.
•    Comfortable with technical/configuration aspects: Workflows, BPA, document templates/views, data migration, system configuration (ERP or compliance-module context).
•    Great communicator: you can lead workshops, articulate risk and compliance implications to both system-savvy and non-technical stakeholders and manage stakeholder expectations.
•    Willingness to travel to client sites or office for workshops, training and upskilling (especially during initial configs or major rollouts). You understand compliance often requires face-to-face collaboration.
•    A mindset for continuous improvement: you spot inefficiencies, compliance gaps, and propose practical, scalable solutions.

Ideal For People Who
•    Are currently in a council compliance / permits / regulatory / governance role and want to leverage that for broader impact.
•    Enjoy problem-solving, process design, documentation, system workflows, and data hygiene.
•    Want a consulting career rather than being stuck forever managing the same portfolio of local-law permits.
•    Have been working within TechnologyOne CiA Compliance module building BPA, t-scripts, DocOnes.
•    Don’t mind rolling sleeves up, sometimes you’ll be mapping dusty old paper-based processes into digital compliance workflows.

Why This Role Works for You
•    You get to help shape how local councils manage compliance, not just one council, but many. Real impact across the sector within Australia & New Zealand
•    You build a deep, in-demand skillset: BPA + compliance + ERP configuration.
•    A supportive consulting team that values collaboration, practical solutions, and learning within the team.

Ready to Make the Jump?
If you think compliance isn’t just about ticking boxes, it’s about building safe, clean, well-functioning systems, let’s talk about where your council-honed skills can take you next.
