What you’ll be doing

 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced People & Learning Manager to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of our learning and development (L&D) initiatives while also contributing to broader people strategies. This role plays a key part in fostering a high-performance culture, enhancing leadership capability, and supporting employee growth and engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learning & Development
    o    Design and implement enterprise-wide learning programs aligned with business strategy and workforce needs.
    o    Partner with leaders to identify training gaps and develop capability frameworks and learning pathways.
    o    Manage and continuously improve induction, onboarding, compliance, and professional development programs.
    o    Oversee learning systems and tools (e.g., LMS), ensuring accuracy, relevance, and user engagement.
    o    Track and report on training metrics, ROI, and learning effectiveness.
  • People Engagement & Strategy
    o    Contribute to the development and execution of the people and culture strategy, HR policies, and practices in line with employment legislation and in support of best practice, effective employee/industrial relations and group policy and programs.
    o    Manage end-to-end tactical and operational HR activities across the employee lifecycle via HRIS portal, SuccessFactors, within agreed SLAs.
    o    Coach and support managers in people leadership practices, talent development, and career planning.
    o    Champion and drive culture initiatives to raise our profile as a great place to work and deliver our Australian Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals and plans.
    o    Analyse workforce trends and employee feedback (e.g., engagement surveys) to inform targeted people initiatives.
    o    Monitor and address legal and regulatory obligations to ensure that the organisation complies with local and national laws.
  • Leadership & Collaboration
    o    Work collaboratively with People & Culture Managers, Talent Acquisition, and other People & Culture team members to deliver seamless services.
    o    Build strong relationships with business leaders to influence positive people outcomes.
    o    Support the implementation of organisational change and drive communication of learning initiatives.

What will make you successful in this role? 

 

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a learning & development role and broader HR generalist role (5+ years).
  • Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and evaluate learning solutions at scale.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading learning or cultural change initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary learning practices, frameworks, and tools.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with IT certifications (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, PMP, Agile, ITIL), Learning Management Systems (e.g., SuccessFactors LMS), and continuous professional development pathways.
  • Formal qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the Australian employment landscape and regulatory requirements related to learning and compliance training.
