What you’ll be doing

We are looking for an experienced tester who can use their expertise in SQL and DWH to test automated letter and report generation, developing test scenarios that cover each of the requirements the business has provided. 

However, this role also covers testing of new data integrations with other systems, and building new operational workflows which can involve manual testing and actions within the contract management system.

Working as part of a growing team, and in partnership with other managers and internal stakeholders across the organization, your key responsibilities will focus on the following key aspects:

•    Review requirements/specifications and project & user documentation to develop and align testing requirements.
•    Identify appropriate test strategies, prepare test plans and test cases, including regression suites, that are reusable and demonstrate sound understanding of the platforms.
•    Undertake manual test execution where required, providing timely and fit-for-purpose test summaries and progress updates.
•    Actively follow reported problems encountered in BAU through to resolution and work with the development team for effective resolution of issues & defects.
•    Recommend enterprise test management tools and resources that improve the overall efficiency and management for the delivery team.
•    Continuously assesses areas for improvement and contributes to the team efforts to iterate and improve overall.

What will make you successful in this role?

•    Bachelor's Degree in IT or industry equivalent qualification.
•    Minimum 5 years’ demonstrable experience as a Test Analyst with relevant experience or exposure to test automation procedures.
•    Knowledge on visualization tools, such as Power BI and intermediate to expert query skills in SQL Server and DWH.
•    Extensive experience working in an agile environment managing competing priorities and challenging deadlines.
•    Willingness and ability to contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and overarching governance.
•    Proven track record and experience working collaboratively with staff and executives across the business at all levels as well as external stakeholders, preferably in financial services industry.
•    Experience in leading or growing a test team, including sharing knowledge with up-and-coming test analysts.
•    Confidence and ability to structure and communicate material effectively in both written and oral forms.
•    A critical thinker with analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills and capability to work autonomously with minimum supervision.
