What you’ll be doing

We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (Senior Consultant) to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering enterprise-grade infrastructure, cloud, networking, and application solutions across a diverse client base.

This is a senior technical consulting role that blends hands-on engineering with client engagement. You will lead complex troubleshooting, drive project delivery, contribute to solution design, and act as a trusted technical advisor to clients.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex challenges, enjoys working across both project and managed services environments, and values impactful client outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and consulting services to clients
  • Troubleshoot complex systems, networking, and application issues
  • Deliver projects, upgrades, and migrations across client environments
  • Perform system health checks, performance tuning, and optimisation
  • Support both cloud-based and on-premises environments
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles
  • Participate in client workshops, technical reviews, and solution design
  • Support security, compliance, and operational improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the practice

Technical Expertise

You will demonstrate broad and deep technical capability across infrastructure, networking, and cloud:

  • Strong experience across Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Microsoft Windows Server environments
  • Deep expertise in networking, including firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs, load balancing, and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management
  • Solid understanding of core internet technologies, including IP networking, DNS, mail servers, and web servers (Apache, Nginx, IIS)
  • Experience with Microsoft enterprise platforms, including Dynamics 365, SharePoint, and Active Directory
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
  • Familiarity with source control, monitoring tools, and modern development practices
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex environments end-to-end
  • Capability to provide technical consulting to both internal teams and external clients

Nice to Have

The following experience will be highly regarded:

  • Passion for software development and emerging technologies
  • Database administration experience (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience working in government or highly regulated environments
  • Current Security Clearance
