What you’ll be doing

As a Principal Technical Consultant – EncompaaS, you will act as a senior technical leader within Atturra’s Enterprise Information Management (EIM) practice, guiding clients on their journey toward modern, automated information governance.

You will lead strategic design and technical implementation of EncompaaS Intelligent Information Governance solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, architects, security teams, and technical specialists to deliver high-impact, compliant, and scalable outcomes.

Your role will combine deep technical expertise, thought leadership, and hands-on delivery, ensuring clients gain maximum value from EncompaaS, including intelligent classification, governance automation, risk remediation, and information lifecycle management across Microsoft 365, shared drives, and other enterprise repositories.

You will mentor other consultants, set technical direction, represent Atturra as a subject-matter expert, and contribute to pre-sales, solution architecture, and delivery excellence across the EIM & Data practice.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Lead design and implementation of EncompaaS solutions across complex enterprise environments, ensuring alignment with client requirements, regulatory needs, and best-practice governance frameworks.
•    Provide expert guidance on metadata strategy, classification models, policy automation, retention uplift, and information governance maturity.
•    Deliver end-to-end EncompaaS technical activities, including system configuration, connector deployment, API integrations, policy development, testing, optimisation, and operational handover.
•    Engage directly with clients as a trusted advisor, presenting solution approaches, roadmaps, risks, mitigation strategies, and transformation recommendations.
•    Produce high-quality technical documentation, solution designs, implementation plans, and progress reports across all phases of delivery.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Security, Microsoft 365, SAP, and Data to ensure integrated, consistent enterprise outcomes.
•    Lead troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance improvements for EncompaaS environments.
•    Mentor and support consultants to uplift capability across EncompaaS and modern information governance.
•    Support pre-sales activities including scoping, estimating, solution definitions, and technical presentations.

What will make you successful in this role? 

Essential Experience & Expertise
•    7–12+ years’ experience in Enterprise Information Management, Information Governance, ECM, or related technologies.
•    Deep hands-on experience delivering EncompaaS Intelligent Information Governance solutions across Microsoft 365 and other enterprise data sources.
•    Strong understanding of information architecture, metadata, retention, defensible disposal, governance risk, and compliance frameworks.
•    Experience with modern cloud-based platforms, especially:
•    Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online, Purview, Teams)
•    Azure AD / Entra ID
•    API integrations/connectors
•    Proven ability to lead complex technical implementations and provide solution-level leadership.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience delivering large-scale governance uplift projects.
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including executive-level presentations.

Desirable Experience
•    Experience with OpenText Content Manager (TRIM), OpenText Content Server, xECM, InfoArchive, Microsoft SharePoint or other ECM platforms.
•    Understanding of security, risk, identity, and data governance in regulated industries.
•    Prior consulting or professional services leadership experience.
•    Experience in mentoring teams or owning technical capability development.
