What you’ll be doing

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver high-quality technology projects in collaboration with clients, partners, and internal teams. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, and the ability to ensure successful project outcomes across multiple workstreams.

You will be responsible for managing project delivery within defined scope, budget, and timelines, while fostering lasting relationships with key stakeholders. You’ll also support your project team through effective coaching, mentoring, and prioritisation of work.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive sponsors, clients, and technology partners (e.g., OpenText, SAP).
•    Drive successful project delivery aligned with defined scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
•    Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to other Project Managers and team members to support capability uplift and consistent delivery outcomes.
•    Maintain executive-level engagement and alignment with strategic business objectives.
•    Foster long-term client and partner relationships built on trust and demonstrable business value.
•    Promote a culture of continuous improvement by modelling and encouraging self-directed learning and adoption of project management best practices.

Project Delivery and Governance
•    Lead project teams, ensuring task prioritisation, resource utilisation, and accountability for outcomes.
•    Communicate risks, issues, and dependencies clearly and promptly, along with mitigation or contingency plans.
•    Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
•    Facilitate project governance forums, including Steering Committee and internal/external status meetings (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly as required).
•    Track and report on key project metrics including timeline, budget, scope changes, and performance indicators.
•    Raise and manage change requests in accordance with scope and contract requirements.

Operational Management
•    Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW), internal quality frameworks, and client expectations.
•    Support project collaboration by maintaining an up-to-date project workspace and ensuring team-wide participation.
•    Review and approve project deliverables to ensure alignment with defined quality standards and business outcomes.
•    Oversee resource onboarding, planning, and forecasting across the project lifecycle.
•    Promote understanding of individual roles, responsibilities, and context within the broader project and business environment.
•    Ensure accurate and timely timekeeping and project documentation to support invoicing, reporting, and compliance.
•    Complete all project closure activities, ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared across the delivery team.

What will make you successful in this role? 

•    A minimum of 5 years' experience delivering complex enterprise projects involving OpenText and SAP, including system upgrades and implementations.
•    Proficiency in structured project delivery methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK) and familiarity with quality assurance frameworks.
•    Demonstrated expertise in financial tracking and reporting, including earned value management (EVM).
•    Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms.
•    Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage risks, issues, and change requests across complex technology projects.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in client-facing environments.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage diverse stakeholders and foster collaboration across business and technical teams.
•    Experience managing projects in regulated industries such as finance, mining, healthcare, or government.
•    Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as OpenText and SAP (desirable).
•    Foundational knowledge of enterprise architecture and systems integration principles.
