.We’ are looking for an Automation Engineer with experience in Red Hat Ansible and OpenShift to deliver initiatives that reduce manual effort, uplift automation maturity, and support consistency and security across infrastructure,. The role operates in a RHEL‑centric environment, integrated with Windows, networking, virtualization, and Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade automation frameworks using Ansible and AAP
  • Build reusable Ansible roles, playbooks, inventories, and execution environments aligned to best practices.
  • Implement and administer Red Hat Ansible Automation (AAP) and OpenShift Platforms, including:
    o    Automation Controller configuration and management
    o    Job templates, workflows, credentials, and RBAC
    o    Inventory and execution environment management
    o    Deliver automation across:
    o    Windows and Linux  provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle operations
    o    Network infrastructure, including configuration management and operational automation
    o    Virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware or KVM)
  • Support Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms through:
    o    Automation of supporting infrastructure and services
    o    Platform-adjacent operational tasks
    o    Integration of Ansible automation with container platforms
  • Implement operational and security automation, including:
    o    Configuration standardisation and compliance enforcement
    o    Vulnerability remediation and security uplift initiatives
    o    Reduction of manual and error prone operational activities
  • Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Platform, Network, and Security teams.
  • Produce clear, maintainable documentation and reusable automation assets.

To be succesful you will bring hands‑on expertise with Ansible automation, including:

  • Designing and developing Ansible playbooks and reusable roles
  • Structuring inventories, variables, and best‑practice automation patterns
  • Automating across diverse environments including Linux, Windows, network devices, cloud platforms, virtualization, storage, and backup systems
  • Proven experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and are comfortable working within Red Hat OpenShift environments.
  • Extensive experience automating Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and / or Windows  systems.
  • Experience in network automation, including managing and automating network device configurations and operational workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift, particularly where automation integrates with platform or infrastructure services.
  • Experience automating or integrating with virtualization platforms.
  • Strong scripting and automation fundamentals.
