Denodo Developer
Date: 1 May 2026
Location: Melbourne, Victoria, AU, 3000
Company: Atturra
What you’ll be doing
Atturra is looking for an experienced Denodo Developer to join a team augmentation engagement with an energy sector client. Working embedded within the client team, you will deliver hands-on Denodo development across virtualisation, security, and platform configuration in a critical national energy infrastructure environment.
This is a full-time, on-site and hybrid role. The environment is structured and compliance-driven, and the successful candidate will hold a Baseline Security Clearance prior to commencing.
This role is open to all major capital cities with Melbourne being the most preference.
Key Responsibilities:
Your work will span the full Denodo delivery lifecycle, including:
- Design and implement supplier deployment architecture within the Denodo platform
- Develop virtualisation and semantic layer solutions that expose data assets to downstream consumers
- Install, configure, and manage Denodo environments, including security configuration
- Design and implement security frameworks covering RBAC, ABAC, and data masking
- Build and refine data models aligned to business and technical requirements
- Optimise view performance and participate in code review and code promotion activities
- Contribute to testing, use case development, and structured documentation
- Support BAU and operational process design, including rollout documentation
- Participate in governance guardrail reviews and platform audits
Working Conditions:
- Location: Melbourne / Sydney / Brisbane — hybrid in-office arrangement
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM AEST
- Engagement: Contract or permanent
- Start: 7 September 2026
- Security: Baseline Security Clearance required prior to commencement. Atturra will assist with the clearance process where required.
What will make you successful in this role?
Technical Requirements:
We're looking for someone with genuine hands-on Denodo experience who can work independently within a client team. You don't need to tick every box, but the following will set you up for success:
- Solid practical experience delivering on the Denodo Platform — Denodo certification is an advantage but not mandatory
- Strong SQL skills and experience translating business requirements into virtualised data models
- Familiarity with security frameworks in data platforms, including role-based and attribute-based access control
- Experience with performance tuning, code review processes, and structured testing approaches
- Comfortable working in agile or team augmentation delivery models, taking direction from the client's backlog and project leads
- Produces clear, maintainable documentation and handover artefacts
- Works well in compliance-conscious environments and understands data governance fundamentals
