Data Consultant

What you’ll be doing

The Data Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using SSIS and SSAS to support the enterprise data warehouse and BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities
•    Design and build ETL pipelines (SSIS) for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from source systems (e.g. SQL Server, Excel, flat files) into the data warehouse.
•    Implement data transformation logic including lookups, slowly changing dimensions, error handling, and validation.
•    Create and manage SSIS ETL workflows, supporting SSAS cube or tabular model processing.
•    Schedule and deploy SSIS jobs using SQL Server Agent; monitor performance and troubleshoot failures.
•    Collaborate on data modeling, schema design (star/snowflake models), indexing strategies, and query optimization.
•    Conduct data profiling, cleansing, reconciliation, and quality control across ETL pipelines.
•    Document ETL architecture, mappings, workflows, and support materials.

What will make you successful in this role?

•    4–8+ years’ experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and data warehousing.
•    Advanced T SQL skills (stored procedures, views, functions) and performance tuning.
•    Expertise in data modeling and ETL best practices.
•    Familiarity with SSIS integration in ETL processes.
•    Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation capabilities.
•    Experience in support of production ETL operations and incident resolution.
