Cloud Developer

Date: 16 Mar 2026

Location: Makati, Other, AU, 1226

Company: Atturra

We are looking for an AWS & Azure Cloud Senior Developer to lead the design, build, and operation of cloud-native solutions across Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with solution designers, product owners, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable services and integrations, automate infrastructure, and enable reliable deployments. This role suits a hands-on engineer who sets high engineering standards, mentors others, and builds secure, observable systems in production.

You will help shape technical direction, influence delivery plans, and drive pragmatic decisions that balance cost, risk, performance, and time-to-value.

The role of the AWS & Azure Cloud Senior Developer is to take end-to-end responsibility for delivering cloud capabilities, including:

•    Build and maintain cloud-native applications and APIs (microservices, serverless, event-driven).
•    Develop and integrate data and messaging services (queues, topics, streams) and external systems.
•    Implement CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and environment promotion (Git-based workflows).
•    Apply security-by-design: IAM/RBAC, secrets management, encryption, network controls, and policy-as-code.
•    Drive observability and reliability: logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
•    Provide technical leadership through design reviews, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities:

Cloud Engineering Delivery
•    Lead delivery of cloud solutions on AWS and Azure aligned to architecture standards, security requirements, and delivery timelines.
•    Own complex application features and integrations using modern patterns (REST, event-driven, async messaging) and ensure quality through testing and reviews.
•    Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, quality gates, and repeatable releases, uplift team practices, and templates.
•    Implement observability (logs/metrics/traces) and support production operations (on call/incident response as required); drive root-cause analysis and preventative fixes.

Solution Leadership
•    Contribute to solution designs and make sound engineering trade-offs (cost, latency, security, operability) using Well-Architected principles.
•    Provide technical guidance on patterns, reference implementations, and reusable IaC modules that accelerate delivery safely.
•    Review designs and code to ensure maintainability, performance, and secure defaults.

Stakeholder Collaboration
•    Work with clients to clarify requirements, propose options, and estimate effort; identify risks early and propose mitigations.
•    Communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly; demonstrate completed work and produce practical documentation and runbooks.
•    Support pre-sales and discovery activities as required (technical inputs, sizing, and delivery approach).

Cloud Platform & Reliability Excellence
•    Build on core AWS and Azure services (compute, storage, networking, identity, messaging, managed databases).
•    Design for security, resiliency, and cost optimisation (Well-Architected principles); implement guardrails and policy-as-code.
•    Harden and maintain environments: patching, dependency updates, vulnerability remediation, and configuration drift control.
•    Implement monitoring and alerting; participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement focused on adoption, measurable business impact, and scalable production outcomes.

Coaching & Ways of Working
•    Mentor developers and contribute to a culture of high-quality delivery, constructive feedback, and continuous learning.
•    Champion engineering practices such as trunk-based or GitFlow workflows (as applicable), coding standards, and automated testing.

 Working Conditions:
•    Permanent full time
•    Remote
•    Philippines

What will make you successful in this role?

•    Strong programming skills in one or more: C#/.NET, Python, Java, TypeScript/Node.js (clean code, testing, reviews); able to lead code quality and design discussions.
•    Hands-on experience with serverless and container platforms (AWS Lambda/ECS/EKS; Azure Functions/AKS/App Service) including networking, security, and scaling considerations.
•    API and integration development (REST, event-driven, async messaging; schema/versioning; idempotency) including designing contracts and versioning strategies.
•    CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows (Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions; automated tests; approvals; release strategies) and ability to uplift team delivery practices.
•    Cloud security fundamentals: IAM/RBAC, least privilege, secrets management (Key Vault/Secrets Manager), encryption, network controls; familiarity with threat modelling.
•    Observability and operations: logging/metrics/tracing, dashboards, alerting, incident response, post-incident reviews; ability to lead incident troubleshooting.
•    Experience with core managed services such as: S3/Blob, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB/Cosmos DB, SQS/SNS/EventBridge, Service Bus/Event Hubs, API Gateway/APIM.
•    Effective communication and stakeholder management; able to explain trade-offs (cost, security, reliability), write clear runbooks, and influence decisions.

Qualifications:
•    7+ years in cloud/software engineering delivering production workloads on AWS and/or Azure.
•    Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience.
•    Preferred (one or more): AWS Certified Developer / Solutions Architect; Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate / Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
