What You’ll Be Doing

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SACM analyst ready to advance their career. In this role, you will manage the SACM process to ensure accuracy of asset and configuration data. You will oversee change requests, maintain configuration baselines, and apply ITIL-based best practices.  As the first point of contact for these services you will need excellent customer service with attention to detail. As part of a small team, you will also assist with Change Management and major incident co-ordination.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the maintenance of effective configuration management data to track the agreed IT configuration items across the organisation.
  • Support the customers configuration management processes and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy of configuration data.
  • Oversee Asset Stocktake and Audit activities of IT assets to verify the accuracy of inventory records, identify discrepancies and report on results.
  • Support the effective delivery and execution of IT Service Management practices by external suppliers and internal teams.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Location: Belconnen, ACT and customer ACT sites
  • Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
  • Clearance: Australian Citizen, Baseline clearance preferred
  • On call: perform on call on a shared roster basis

 

What Will Make You Successful in This Role:

  • Expertise:
    • Demonstrated experience working with ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 IT Asset and Configuration Management Practice
    • Demonstrated experience working with an ITSM tool managing configuration data
    • Strong understanding of IT service operations principles, focusing on Service Asset and Configuration Management and Change Enablement.

 

  • Customer Service: Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with non-technical users.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues logically.
  • Team Collaboration: A collaborative mindset and a willingness to work with colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience: Experience with Change management and Major Incident Management
  • Certifications: ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 Foundation highly desirable
