What you’ll be doing

Atturra is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager, to work with our Cloud Business Solutions team in Canberra, to showcase their strong Agile Project Management skills in a Federal Government Project.

You will be responsible for the Management of multiple concurrent ICT applications projects, from initiation to closure, according to our client’s project management methodology.

Atturra is seeking a candidate who has a passion for innovative technology and driving customer transformation. This person must be able to communicate with a variety of different audiences and must have strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills. The ability to lead technical groups along with handling critical customer issues is important for this role.

You will be tasked with evaluating end-user business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and developing and implementing the appropriate technical solutions.

Due to the security requirements of this project, it is crucial for this role to be on site 5 days a week in the client’s office or our Atturra office in Canberra.

Additionally, you MUST already hold an active AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance to be considered for this position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the refinement and definition of project scope, based on the approved project brief and costing, with business and ICT teams
  • Negotiate and manage access to and performance of ICT resources across a matrixed organisation
  • Prepare project management artefacts including ICT Delivery Plan, Project Change Requests (where required), project status reports, project financial spend phasings and forecasts, risk register, issue register and change register
  • Facilitate the review and approval of technical artefacts such as user/functional specifications
  • Lead regular project status meetings involving all Agency stakeholders; and 
  • Act as the first point of contact for risks, issues and conflicts between ICT teams and between ICT and business.

What will make you successful in this role?

 

Technical Expertise:

 

  • 7-10 years of experience of Agile Project Delivery in Federal Government projects, preferably in Law Enforcement related Federal Government Agencies
  • Strong experience in contract scope / scope management
  • Experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Demonstrated ability to promote continuous improvement of team environments using agile principles
  • Experience delivering applications with sound technical knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project objectives such as scope, budget and schedules
  • Must hold an already active AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance
  • Have effective written and verbal communication skills, with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to effectively recognise and adapt to change
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be able to communicate with and present to a variety of different audiences, and
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.

 

Highly Desirable:

  • PRINCE2 certification, PRINCE2 Agile certification
  • MSP Certification
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Other relevant project management certifications
  • Technological depth and breadth, tactical cross-skills and IP tools, we straddle the path between advice, implementation, and adoption.
