Network Engineer

What you’ll be doing

We are seeking a talented Network Engineer who excels in a dynamic environment, has a can do attitude and provides outstanding customer support. You will be assisting the team supporting a secure and robust Wifi network environment using Cisco technologies, Palo firewalls, and other tools. You will assist with day to day support, patching and updates to ensure optimal performance and reliability for our high value client.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee day-to-day operations of our Client multi-site Secure Wifi networks, prioritizing security, performance and reliability.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot problems, and address incidents promptly.
• Assist will upgrades and new site build and deployments.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes and knowledge base articles.

Working Conditions

• Based in Deakin, ACT
• Permanent full time
• Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance Mandatory
   

What will make you successful in this role?

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco technologies and Palo solutions.
• Experience in Cisco ISE, Cisco switches\Router and Wifi,
• Experience in Palo firewalls.
• Experience with Palo Prisma ( preferred)
• Experience with Monitoring ( PRTG preferred)
• Experience working with the ISM and essential 8.
• Exposure to Open Gear OOB, Beyond Trust, AWS, Tenable desirable
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security best practices
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
