What you’ll be doing
We are on the hunt for a Senior Active Directory\Group policy\PKI SME combining deep technical expertise with outstanding customer support to design, deliver, and secure critical infrastructure. Based in Belconnen, ACT, this permanent full-time role offers hybrid work flexibility and the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that matter.
As a key member of our delivery team, you'll take ownership of solutions that support complex, secure environments. Your work will be critical in ensuring we meet — and exceed — client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and operational leadership to engineers to drive successful project outcomes
- Collaborate with Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to ensure solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and to spec
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex AD issues, including authentication failures, replication challenges, and DNS-related integration problems.
- Execute AD migrations, version upgrades, and consolidation activities.
- Implement and administer AD security policies, role-based access control, and privileged access management solutions.
- Own and drive solution delivery, troubleshooting, and resolution of network issues
- Create and maintain accurate documentation configurations, processes, and knowledge base content

- Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance Mandatory
What will make you successful in this role?
- Deep expertise in Active Directory, including multi‑domain environments, GPO management, replication, and trusts.
- Extensive experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), including configuration, maintenance, and support.
- Experience in design and implementation of PKI infrastructure
- Solid knowledge of DNS and DHCP configuration, administration, and issue resolution.
- Hands‑on PowerShell scripting skills for automation, reporting, and administrative tasks.
- Thorough understanding of security best practices across Active Directory and Windows environments.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, and both Windows and Linux environments
- Familiarity with the Information Security Manual (ISM) and the Essential Eight strategies
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to think on your feet
- Strong communication and teamwork skills — you’ll be working closely with both clients and internal teams
