What you’ll be doing

The SAP Program Manager provides senior delivery leadership across complex SAP programs, including S/4HANA transformation, implementation, optimisation and managed services initiatives. The role is responsible for driving program outcomes, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks and dependencies, and ensuring delivery aligns to client objectives and Atturra’s commercial commitments.
This position works closely with clients, executive stakeholders, project managers, solution architects, functional and technical teams, commercial leads and PMO representatives to provide clear governance, delivery discipline and proactive issue resolution across the program lifecycle.


The role contributes across mobilisation, planning, delivery governance, financial management, resourcing, stakeholder engagement, reporting, risk management, cutover readiness, transition to support and continuous improvement.


Duties and Responsibilities
•    Lead end-to-end SAP program delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved in line with agreed scope, timeframes, budget, quality standards and client expectations.
•    Establish and manage program governance, including steering committees, status reporting, decision forums, escalation pathways and delivery assurance processes.
•    Manage integrated program plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, assumptions and change controls across multiple SAP workstreams.
•    Provide leadership to project managers, workstream leads, solution architects, functional consultants, technical teams, testing teams and deployment resources.
•    Oversee program financials, including budget tracking, forecasting, margin awareness, commercial impacts, resource demand and vendor or subcontractor costs.
•    Build trusted relationships with client executives and senior stakeholders, providing transparent communication, pragmatic advice and proactive management of delivery concerns.
•    Drive delivery discipline across requirements, design, build, test, data migration, integration, cutover, change management, training, deployment and hypercare activities.
•    Identify and resolve delivery risks, resourcing gaps, scope changes and stakeholder misalignment before they impact program outcomes.
•    Ensure SAP delivery methods, documentation, quality controls and governance artefacts are fit for purpose and consistently applied.
•    Support pre-sales, estimation, proposal input and client presentations where program delivery leadership or delivery assurance expertise is required.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement across SAP delivery operations, resource planning, project controls and delivery governance practices.

What will make you successful in this role? 

 

•    Demonstrated experience managing complex SAP programs or large-scale SAP projects, ideally including SAP S/4HANA transformation, implementation, upgrade or optimisation initiatives, with exposure to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud delivery highly regarded.
•    Strong understanding of the SAP delivery lifecycle, including discovery, planning, design, build, testing, data migration, integration, cutover, deployment and post-go-live support.
•    Proven capability in program governance, executive reporting, stakeholder management, risk and issue management, dependency management and change control.
•    Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, forecasts, project financials, resource plans, delivery margins and commercial impacts of scope or schedule changes.
•    Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across functional, technical, architecture, testing, data, integration, change and business workstreams.
•    Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the confidence to work with senior client representatives and internal leadership.
•    Strong planning, prioritisation, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex delivery environments.
•    Experience working in consulting, systems integration, project delivery or managed services environments is highly regarded.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Commerce, Project Management or equivalent industry experience.
