Principal Consultant - Enterprise Integration

Date: 15 Jul 2026

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, AU, 4000

Company: Atturra

What you’ll be doing

Our Atturra Data & Integration Business Unit are looking for a seasoned Integration Specialist who is ready to take the next step in their career as a Principal Consultant within our Data & Integration team. You will play a key role in delivering complex integration outcomes across enterprise transformation programs, while having the opportunity to build your capability in emerging AI-enabled solutions as this area continues to grow.

This role is grounded in strong integration architecture, delivery leadership and enterprise thinking. You will work with talented consultants, architects, project teams and client stakeholders to shape practical, secure and supportable solutions that deliver real business value. Over time, you will also help explore how established integration skills and patterns can support new automation and AI-enabled opportunities.

A Principal Consultant wears many hats. You will be a technically credible integration specialist, a trusted adviser to clients and a leader who helps delivery teams turn complex requirements into practical outcomes.

You will work across new engagements and inflight projects, providing technical guidance to delivery teams, supporting solution design, contributing to estimation and planning and helping clients make informed technology decisions.

The role will have a strong focus on delivering integration outcomes across a portfolio of enterprise initiatives. As our AI practice and pipeline mature, you may also support selected AI-enabled projects where integration is needed to connect platforms, applications, data sources and operational workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading integration discovery, design and delivery across complex client environments.
  • Designing and implementing integrations using the Boomi, Azure Integration or webMethods platform and broader enterprise integration patterns.
  • Working with business, architecture, cyber security, data and project stakeholders to define practical integration requirements.
  • Applying secure, governed and scalable integration patterns to emerging technology and AI-enabled initiatives when opportunities arise.
  • Helping connect new tools and services with enterprise applications, data platforms, workflow processes and operational systems.
  • Working with clients and internal specialists to translate emerging use cases into practical integration requirements and solution options.
  • Supporting pilot, proof-of-concept or innovation activities where relevant, while considering how successful outcomes could transition into secure and supportable enterprise services.
  • Designing integrations that consider privacy, security, auditability, data protection and data sovereignty.
  • Providing technical leadership across API-led, batch, real-time, event-driven, file-based and cloud integration patterns.
  • Creating and maintaining solution design documentation, technical specifications, data mappings, interface catalogues and operational support artefacts.
  • Supporting client meetings, workshops, technical presentations and delivery planning activities.
  • Mentoring consultants and contributing to best practice, reusable assets and delivery methodology improvements.

Working Conditions:

  • Australian Citizen
  • Permanent full time
  • Brisbane Location

What will make you successful in this role?

You will be successful in this role if you are an experienced senior integration professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, working directly with clients and providing leadership to delivery teams. You may already be operating at Principal level, or you may be a seasoned integration specialist ready to take that next step in your career.

Strong enterprise integration experience is the foundation of this role. Existing AI engineering or data science experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is curious about emerging technology and willing to develop their capability as our AI services and client demand grow. The key requirement is an ability to understand how systems, data, APIs, platforms, workflows and governance controls come together to create secure, scalable and supportable solutions.

Key Capabilities:

  • Strong knowledge of middleware, cloud integration, data integration and API-led integration concepts.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing integrations across SaaS, cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, including real-time, batch, file-based, API-led, event-driven and bulk data integration.
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, process mapping, data mapping and interface design.
  • Ability to design secure and supportable integration solutions, including error handling, monitoring, logging, alerting and operational support considerations.
  • Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, finance, workforce, research, data, student or operational systems.
  • Confidence working with structured and unstructured data sources, and an understanding of how data quality, access, privacy and security impact integration design.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across business, architecture, cyber security, data, vendor and delivery teams.
  • Ability to operate in environments where requirements are still forming and where structured discovery, analysis and solution shaping are required.
  • An interest in developing an understanding of responsible AI considerations, including privacy, security, auditability, human oversight and appropriate use of enterprise data.
  • Exposure to GenAI, AI-assisted workflows, intelligent automation, analytics, data platforms or other emerging technology projects would be beneficial, but is not essential.
  • A willingness to work with internal specialists and clients to develop emerging technology ideas into practical integration requirements and solution options.
  • Experience supporting proof-of-concept, pilot or innovation initiatives would be highly regarded.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and present technical documentation to both technical and non-technical audiences.
