What you’ll be doing

The Talent Acquisition Consultant will be part of a team that delivers a proactive and strategic approach to meeting hiring demands through deep understanding of the business and talent landscape, managing the end-to-end recruitment process, collaborating with hiring managers and People & Culture team, and building high-quality candidate talent pipelines. 

 

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from screening to onboarding.
  • Activate sourcing methodologies to access best candidates in the market, including talent pipelining and use of strategic sourcing initiatives to identify hard-to-find talent.
  • Ensure timely employment offers and streamline onboarding processes.
  • Conduct employment reference checks and manage recruitment back-end process administration through use of SuccessFactors Recruitment system.
  • Establish a talent pipeline through building relationships with a pool of qualified candidates for future positions.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers, P&C partners, and other stakeholders to understand their hiring needs, expectations, and challenges.
  • Facilitate discussions with hiring managers to select candidates to progress to interview and/or offer.
  • Provide coaching and guidance on recruitment best practices to hiring managers.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience and a successful hiring process.
  • Communicate hiring progress to stakeholders and participate in resource meetings to provide talent market insights.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid role working 3-4 days in the Belconnen office
  • 3 months fixed term (with possiblity to extend)

 

 

What will make you successful in this role? 

  • Significant recruiting and direct sourcing experience for roles at varying levels, from entry level through to management positions
  • Proven experience in volume hiring within a large and complex organisation or recruitment agency
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and partnering skills; confidence with senior business leaders and other stakeholders; and credible experience in acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong candidate management skills, ensuring optimal positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Value diversity and inclusion who knows how to attract and select candidates from a diverse set of backgrounds within competitive candidate markets
  • Excellent time management and prioritising skills, with proven capacity to meet deadline
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a changing environment. 
  • Proficient using online job boards such as LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK, and others
  • Familiarity with HRIS, SuccessFactors or others, is highly advantageous
