We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to join our growing Microsoft Practice. This role is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing and supporting Business Central solutions for enterprise and government customers.
You will work closely with solution architects, functional consultants, project managers and client stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality business applications aligned to customer requirements and Microsoft best practice.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical capability across Business Central development, integrations and extensions, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions and extensions
• Develop custom functionality using AL and extensions within Business Central
• Configure and customise Business Central modules to meet business requirements
• Build and maintain integrations between Business Central and external systems using APIs, Azure Integration Services and middleware platforms
• Participate in solution design workshops and technical architecture discussions
• Perform unit testing, code reviews and deployment activities
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Business Central environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and defects
• Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer and support transition activities
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, technical standards and delivery methodologies
• Support production environments and assist with ongoing enhancement activities where required

What will make you successful in this role?
Essential
• Proven experience developing solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Strong experience with AL development and Business Central extensions
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central migrations and upgrades
• Experience developing integrations using REST APIs, web services and Azure technologies
• Understanding of Business Central architecture, security model and deployment approaches
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams
Desirable
• Experience working within Commonwealth or State Government environments
• Experience with Power Platform technologies including Power Automate and Power BI
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services
• Experience supporting finance, procurement or payroll-related systems
• Microsoft certifications relevant to Dynamics 365 or Azure
• Exposure to ITIL-based support environments and managed services
